I've been married to my husband, a college professor, for 11 years and we have three sweet sons. Our oldest son has autism. We've lived all over the country, but currently call East Texas home.
I have a bachelor’s degree in religious studies and a master’s degree in clinical social work, both from the University of Chicago.
I am a licensed special education teacher and have worked as a resource room teacher, autism classroom teacher, and most recently as a district behavior specialist.
I left the classroom after our first son was born so that I could stay home with him while creating special education resources on the side.
I am also a former children's ministry director and now work part time for a national disability ministry. I love sharing resources to help people of all abilities know and love Jesus!
A few of my favorite things...
Coffee, beautiful children's books, and good breakfast spots
What I Believe
Strategies and resources for helping people with disabilities actually benefit everyone! Visuals, schedules, and accessible spaces make the world more inclusive for people of all abilities.
There is nothing better than knowing Jesus! As parents, there is no higher calling than to surround our children this truth.
Parenting a child with disabilities can be exhausting, isolating, and filled with days of worry and uncertainty. But it can also bring a uniquely joyful, bless your family and others in wonderful and unexpected ways, and will teach you more about the character of God than you ever thought possible.
